Function for Shrinking Transaction Log

This function is very useful for Shrinking Transaction Logs. Transaction Logs will continue to grow if you don't have a process to maintain their size. This function will help you get a handle on your SQL Server transaction logs and help tune the performance of your Databases.

ALTER DATABASE YourDBName SET RECOVERY SIMPLE; DBCC SHRINKFILE (YourDBLogFileName, 100); --Log File ALTER DATABASE YourDBName SET RECOVERY FULL;
